Here’s another question on the Michleson and Morley Experiment: When
there’s no light on the viewing screen, we have light going into the
interferometer, but no light coming out. What happened to the light


السؤال الثالث:
Calculate the minimum spacing between the plates of a Fabry Perot
interferometer which would resolve two lines with
 = 0.A at

o= 6000°A. Assume the reflectivity to be R = 0.8
(Hint: Two wavelengths are just resolved if the half intensity point of one
of them falls on the half intensity point of the other.)
